Cops: Thief Grabs Man's Money, Flees With Over $1500
The vehicle and suspect have been located, police said.
A Flanders man has $1500 stolen from him last week when a thief grabbed it from his hand and fled, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the robbery occurred on July 23 when the Flanders man was standing in his doorway, taking out money to give to a friend.
Police said a third man, who had arrived with his friend, grabbed the money and fled in a car. Between $1,500 and $1,800 was stolen, police added.
Police located the vehicle and the suspect. No further information was immediately available.
