Cops: Teen Hid Drugs in Teddy Bear

Westhampton Beach police said the teen had over 100 pills.

Westhampton Beach Village police arrested a Westhampton Beach 16-year-old after she admitted to hiding prescription drugs in a teddy bear.

According to police, the teen was questioned after the driver of the car she was ridding in was pulled over on Montauk Highway for excessive noise from the car.

Police say the teen quickly admitted to having the pills and offered up the teddy bear. Inside, police said there was a plastic bag filled with over 100 pills, some prescription such as Oxicodone and non-prescription pills, including Acetaminophen.

In her pocketbook, police found a marijuana bowl and marijuana.

She was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor and possession of marijuana, a violation.

The driver of the car was also charged with possession of marijuana.
