say they have arrested a 32-year-old Speonk man who severely beat a woman with a pool stick, metal pipe and stool for several hours on July 26 in a Speonk home.
Police said the man, Beswick A. Grizzle, has been charged with assault in the second degree and unlawful imprisonment in the first degree, both felonies.
According to police, they were called to the scene at 10:40 p.m. and arrived to find the woman suffering from severe injuries. Two Suffolk County sheriff’s K-9 Units and assisted in the search for Grizzle, who fled the scene when police arrived.
The woman was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.
Police said Grizzle and the woman know each other, but did not elaborate on their relationship.
