have arrested John Reed of Hampton Bays after police say he failed to register as a sex offendor.
Police say the charged Reed on Thursday on a felony charge under under the New York State Corrections Law for sex offendors.
Southampton police were assisted by Southold detectives and the Suffolk County Special Victims Unit.
This is the second recent arrest made involving a sex offendor in Hampton Bays. On March 27 said that John Keane, 40, of Hampton Bays was arrested on a Southampton Town warrant for failure to register as a sex offender as required by law.
Keane was caught at the Crystal Plaza Catering Hall in Livingston, New Jersey on on March 27.
