Cops: Hampton Bays Man Caught With 14-Round Glock Magazine

Westhampton Beach Police also charged the 44-year-old with DWI.

A Hampton Bays man was charged with unlawfully carrying a 14-round Glock magazine by Westhampton Beach police on Feb. 25.

Robert Ackeckles, Jr, 44, was slapped with the misdemeanor under a new New York State law that went into effect on Jan. 15. The law, which previously allowed for people to carry a 10-round magazine, now only permits for a person to carry a 7-round magazine.

Ackeckles was further charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and various traffic violations, including speeding and failing to maintain his lane of travel.
