1. Two Minors Caught Burglarizing Home
Two minors have been charged with felony counts of burglary, according to Southampton Town police. The minors were caught on June 5, a day after police say they entered a home on Highland Road in Hampton Bays and stole bicycles, computer parts and an X-box.
2. Rash of Stolen Property in Riverside/Flanders
Residents in Riverside and Flanders have been warned by police to watch out for their valuables as a rash of stolen property reports have unfolded in recent days.
3. Suspicious Mail Causes False Alarm at Town Hall
Three letters delivered to Southampton Town Hall Thursday were deemed suspicious, leading to police being called in, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
4. Cops: Man Obstructs Traffic, Confronts Motorists In Riverside
According to Southampton Town police, on Tuesday at 10:08 p.m. a Riverside man was arrested after he was observed obstructing traffic while walking in the roadway in the Riverside traffic circle.
5. Incident Report: Change Jars Go Missing
A resident of Pepperidge Lane in Hampton Bays reported that between Jan. 15 and June 1, someone stole a jar of pennies from her home valued at $1,500.
