The following is a round-up of headlines related to cops and crime this week.

1. Fire Marshal: Two injured in Westhampton House Fire

A house fire that broke out on Tuesday night in Westhampton sent two to the hospital, according to the Southampton Fire Marshal's office.

The fire, Fire Marshal John Rankin, said started in a home at 7 Lincoln Street at about 9:30 p.m. and when the Westhampton Beach Fire Department arrived, Westhampton Beach Fire Department Chip Bancroft  said flames were coming out the back, front and sides of the home. 

2. Cops: Have You Seen This Woman?

Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who was caught on video stealing a cell phone from an employee at an Eastport grocery store last month.

3. Possible Plea Deal for Former Westhampton Beach Gym Teacher

The attorney for Thomas Sheppard, a four-year Westhampton Beach gym teacher who was charged in March for allegedly recording students in a gym locker room, is negotiating with the Suffolk County District Attorney's office for a plea deal, according to 27east.

6. Cops: Thief Grabs Man's Money, Flees With Over $1500

A Flanders man has $1500 stolen from him last week when a thief grabbed it from his hand and fled, police said.

According to Southampton Town police,  the robbery occurred on July 23 when the Flanders man was standing in his doorway, taking out money to give to a friend.

7. Southampton Accident Backs Up Rush Hour Traffic

Commuters had another rough morning heading east for work.

A Hampton Jitney and a National Waste Services garbage truck collided in front of the jitney headquarters on County Road 39A in Southampton on Monday morning, at around 4:40 a.m., shutting down part of the main thoroughfare.

8. Jersey Cops Recover Another Stolen Westhampton Beach Car

A  luxury car stolen from Dune Road in Westhampton Beach has been recovered by New Jersey cops. It is the third posh ride in a string of Hamptons car thefts found in the Garden State.
