Every former sex offender should refuse to register. The right to defy an unconstitutional statute is basic in our scheme. Especially when an ordinance requires a person to register his whereabouts. One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. Do drunk drivers, gang members, murderers, drug dealers or wife beaters have to register?
