Make Your Reservations Now for the Slow Food Riot Dinner

Help Slow Food East End Support Local Farmers' Markets: Saturday, July 27th. Featuring local foods prepared by Todd Jacobs of Fresh Hamptons.

Food Riot Dinner, benefiting Slow Food East End, is the featured event at the Hamptons Preventive Health & Sustainable Technology Expo to be held at Dodds & Eder in Sag Harbor on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. The expo is sponsored by Turtle Shell Health. The Food Riot is a casual dinner party that benefits Slow Food East End and will feature live music, a raffle, and lots of great food & drink. Chef Todd Jacobs of Fresh Hamptons has prepared an amazing menu featuring local seasonal foods and wines - "Comfort food that's healthy. Healthy food that's irresistible."

According to Judiann Carmack-Fayyaz, chair of Slow Food East End, "all proceeds from the dinner will go toward funding a stipend position to help promote farmers' markets as a way to expand access to good, clean, fair food and to promote local agricultural production. Come eat delicious food and make a difference."

Both the cocktail party and dinner are being catered by Chef Todd Jacobs, an active member of Northeast Organic Farmers Association (NOFA) since the inception of the Long Island chapter in 1990. He was recently presented with the first ever "Green Skillet Award," an honor given for outstanding support and belief in promoting local produce.His new restaurant, Fresh Hamptons, is located at 203 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton.  

Cocktail Party 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Tickets for the cocktail party are $75 and may be purchased separately from the dinner. Your ticket includes access to both days of the fair.RSVP here.

  • Local Organic Raw Vegan Corn Chowder Shooters with Sweet Corn Salsa
  • Raw Vegan Wrap with Tomato Chipotle Aioli
  • Grilled Local Oysters with Chive Beurre Blanc

  • Local Organic Chicken Liver & Vidalia Onion Confit Wrapped in House Cured Mecox Bacon
  • Pan Seared Local Day Boat Sea Scallops with Brown Butter, Lemon & Thyme

AND Additional Action Stations Based on Donations from Local Vendors


Wines to be poured throughout the evening include Martha Clara Chardonnay and Bridgehampton Merlot.  A Specialty Cocktail will also be served.

Family Style Dinner and Keynote Address 7:00 - 9:00 pm
