What's the Strangest Thing You Ever Found on the Beach?

Erosion in Water Mill uncovers old cars recently.

In nearby Water Mill, erosion on the shoreline turned up a number of old rusted and twisted cars, still intact, that had been placed there to build up the dunes decades ago.

Southampton Town Trustee Fred Havemeyer told Southampton Patch that the vehicles turned up on about 10 properties west of the Mecox Bay cut, near the Water Mill Beach Club, which had been devastated by Superstorm Sandy.

East Hampton Town beaches are certainly no stranger to erosion either, and we were wondering what was the strangest thing you remember being uncovered? What's the strangest thing you ever found on the beach? Tell us in the comments below.

And, if you find any old cars exposed suddenly on the ocean beaches, be sure to let us know.
