#82 Meander Down Main Street

Westhampton Beach has a lot to offer to shoppers.

There are more than 10,000 streets named Main Street in the United States; however, even though the name is the same, every one has something different to offer.

Main Street in Westhampton Beach offers a diverse selection of clothing, gift and accessories shops for just about anyone. The quaint area is in the heart of the village and is accessible from neighboring towns. 

Soon after Memorial Day weekend, there is more action on Main Street as the town begins to liven up for its most popular season. The stores closed for winter reopen and stay open late for the after-dinner crowd. The best way to see it all: Start at the eastern end and work your way west.

If you are looking to make a purchase or just window shop, here are some suggestions for Main Street perusing.

just recently celebrated another year of business in Westhampton Beach. For 30 years, the shop has been a staple for visitors and the only place in town where customers can design their own clothing by choosing from a selection of designs.

Main Street is also home to several unique fashion boutiques including Blue 1, Fahrenheit 451, and  and Calypso St. Barth's in addition to nearly two dozen other shops. 

is a relatively new consignment store and a favorite for many visitors. Owner Lynn Stoller works closely with clients who are looking to sell any high-end designer clothes, bags and shoes. You will find some of the latest fashion trends in mint condition for a discounted price, including designers like Hermes, Prada, Chloe, Dolce and Gabbana and more.

If you are looking for something specific, there are specialty shops, including for equipment and professional clothing, for a large selection of bathing suits, as well as boutiques like and Tranquility that sell gifts and antiques.

Once you have worked up an appetite from shopping, cool off with a frozen treat from one of Main Street's favorite dessert spots. Try for Ben & Jerry's ice cream, or to end the day off on a sweet note.
