Wake, Funeral Held for Charlotte B. Sinclair

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Mark Sinclair Foundation

On August 1st, Hampton Bays lost one of it's loveliest ladies, Charlotte B. Sinclair, at the age of 83.

Charlotte was the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Fisher and was born in the Bronx on March 10, 1929.  Charlotte and her beloved husband, Chet were married just shy of 64 years.  They are the owners of in Hampton Bays. 

Charlotte was predeceased by her son, Mark Sinclair and survived by his beloved wife Jane.  She also survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Berntson and her husband, Kurt.  Her grandchildren, Sawyer and Colby Herbst, Ian Sinclair, Lauren Scherr and her husband Wyley, Meghan Sinclair and her husband Matt O'Brien and a great grandson Logan Scherr, brought great joy to her life.   She also leaves her sister, Priscilla Chumak, and her husband Frank, a brother Charles Fisher, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dedicated caregiver, Algi. Her radiant smile shall be missed by all who knew her.

Visiting hours were held at the in Hampton Bays on Friday, August 3 and funeral service were held on Saturday morning  at in Hampton Bays, led by Pastor Kenreich.

The music for the service was provided by Hilda Blevins of Hampton Bays, a very old and dear friend of the family.  Her burial followed in .

Charlotte had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Auxiliary for many years; Auxiliary members were at the funeral home on Friday evening and conducted a service for their dearly departed member.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Mark Sinclair Foundation, 161 W. Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays 11946, which was founded at the time of Mark's passing and has provided many wonderful additions to the community, or to the L.I. Alzheimer's Association.
