Former Chief John Kamus passed away at his home on Sept. 7. He was 69.
Kamus serviced as police chief for nearly 20 years in the 1980s and 1990s.
According to his obituary, Kamus is survived by wife Eileen, son Kieth Kalmus and daughter Jacqueline Gratz, sister Janet Pelosi and 4 grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with a burial to follow at the Quogue cemetary.
