Barbara 'Cam' Forbes Dies at Age 86
Cam served as as Westhampton Beach's St. Patrick's Day Parade grand marshal.
Barbara Cameron Forbes, well known locally as "Cam," has died at the age of 86.
A native of Southampton, Forbes graduated from Southampton High School and in 1947 from Skidmore College. Formerly with the Hampton Chronicle and Frank Adam's on Main Street, Forbed was named Grand Marshal of the 1989 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Westhampton Beach. She was one of the original members of the parade committee. Married for more than 50 years to the late Charlie Forbes, Forbes was part of the Riverhead News-Review publishing family.
She leaves behind six children and four grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Follett and Warner Funeral Home, Westhampton Beach with services on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the , Main Road, Quiogue. Burial will be in the family plot at Southampton Cemetery.
