Water Safety Tip of the Week: Eyes on Children at All Times

Here are drowning prevention tips.

Parents and caregivers: The most important lifesaving safety tip around pools, the ocean, a lake, a river, a bath tub, or any open body of water is to be vigilant always — It only takes a second for something to go wrong.

A child can drown in as little as 2" of water, so never take your eyes off your child, not even for a second!

"SUPERVISION WITHOUT DISTRACTION" is the key. No cell phones, no i-pad, no texting, no conversation with your friend, no 'I will be right back,' and no alcohol while watching.

While they are in or near the water — eyes on the children at all times.
