Welcome, 2012

Well here we are 2012, Happy New Year to all, and an exciting New Year it will be. 

We start the year under the influence of a difficult Mercury Mars energy. My first piece of advice with this action is avoid driving or travel if you can and if you can’t, drive defensively. This is an energy that wants to do things quickly and without thinking. Mercury is the planet of travel, Mars is the planet of aggression and anger not a good combo for safe travel. This is also an energy that can have us saying things we don’t really mean, feelings get hurt.  So temper what you say and think before you talk, also give slack to anyone who says something hurtful as it more than likely was not meant the way it came out.

This is the first week in a very long time that all of the planets are in direct motion, this by itself is an important event. It means things that have been on hold start to move, those areas where we feel frustration because nothing seems to be changing all of a sudden get action. So if you have anything that you have put off accomplishing, now is the time to make to plans to get it done. We will also see this energy work itself out on the world stage. Those ongoing issues all of a sudden get solutions or get put aside.

What helps the energy I just talked about is the nice trine between Saturn and Neptune. Saturn is all about building foundations and Neptune is all about the creative and helpful path, so when working together these planets can indicate the world starts paying attention to those in need, or those less fortunate. Human rights and peaceful solutions seem more important now that they have over this past year.

Midweek, we see the planet Mercury join forces with Saturn and Neptune, so we will hear some good news.  On a personal level this is a time to make decisions and agreements.  It’s a time to say things that are on your mind and work with others to solve problems.
