The week starts with some very intense energy, the Sun and Pluto conjunct each other in Capricorn, this aspect or energy is not a negative or a positive, but it is power and powerful. On the constructive side, it allows us to dig deep and come up with changes and solutions to problems; it's cathartic and allows us to see where we may not be going in the right direction, plus give us the energy needed to make major changes.
On the less positive side, this is a very polarizing energy and can indicate the energy of the saying, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing the same way but expecting different results.
I want to be optimistic and think we, collectively and politically, can solve problems instead of digging into personal ideologies. This is not a time for any of us to get “stuck” in any area of our life, it’s a time for us to reflect and improve ourselves. Light is darkness manifested so we need to go into the dark, or quiet, to come out into the light of knowledge. Also be careful of being secretive as this energy is not an outward energy its inward so you may find yourself not wanting to be as open as you may normally be, this energy wants to do things behind closed doors.

The really good news is during this week of intense energy. We have the planet Mars move into the sign of Aquarius and make a sextile to the planet Uranus. Mars and Uranus are in something we call mutual reception or each occupies the sign the other rules, this allows these planets to work together in a positive way. They help that deep dark reformative energy to find some new ideas that can actually be implemented. You may find yourself coming up with some brilliant solutions to long-term problems, so stay as open and as receptive as you can to this energy, lets also all hope this energy helps our government to work out problems that affect all of us.
Midweek, Mercury and Jupiter conjunct each other, both these planets have much to do with travel, so if you have plans to go away, see if you can leave any day but Jan. 5, as you may run into delays and problems, also make sure you drive careful that day, people may not be paying attention to the rules of the road.

We end the week with a Mercury Pluto conjunction, this is a great energy for research it's also a great time to put ideas come up with during the Mars Uranus energy into practice. This is an energy that has the positional of great ideas coming to fruition or great stubbornness. This energy affects the cardinal signs the most Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
