The Rising sign or Ascendant of a chart is the sign on the horizon when you were born, the degree changes every 4 minutes which is why a time of birth is important to an astrologer. The Ascendant is your physical body, it's also how you see the world, as a little baby when you opened your eye’s — how did you feel about this new life, were you happy, excited, scared, powerful.
