The other night, I went to Waldbaum's in Westhampton Beach and bought 2 rock cornish hens to make for dinner. When I opened the package, they stunk!!! Then, I looked at the label, and saw that they had expired 5 days earlier!! I went back to the store to return them. Then I made another attempt at the meat department, as the meal still had to be cooked. Lo and behold, there was another rotten hen waiting to be purchased, along with a lot of other expired meats. Ridiculous!!! This has happened to me before. On Thanksgiving 2011, I purchased a foul turkey. It's happened other times as well. I've finally learned my lesson and would highly recommend that before purchasing any meat at Waldbaums, one checks the expiration date! It's too bad they're the only convenient food store in town. I think I'll travel to other more diligent and careful food stores in the future. Shame on you, Waldbaums!!
Maybe we should get a large group together and show up at the next meeting to support the new supermarket proposal. As taxpayers, we should be allowed to have a voice. This is America, after all!!
What is going on with this company?
