What Is Your 'Holiday Spirit?'

What are your favorite Holiday traditions, memories or dreams?

With the passing of Thanksgiving and the sharing of a meal with those close to our hearts, the upcoming holiday season, whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, reminds us all of the humanity that brings the world together in peace and harmony.

These holiday seasons have a great way to bring out the best in us, as well as, remember the good instead of the bad among the world. It inspires us to hold onto hope, with the strength of faith that we can make a difference and care for all who wonder.

Food is one of those things in my life where it is the doorway to most gatherings and family functions. Especially now, there are traditions, history, and memories shared and passed on to the generations within. My family members each have our own individual "niche'" that we bring to the table and share with each other. From Deviled Eggs to Baked Ziti to Cookies and Tea, even friends bring something new to the table each year that creates wonderful memories and conversation about what that dish meant to them and why they made it.

Sharing these stories together inspires me, reminds me, and allows me to let others know how special things are...

I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Holidays and extend warm wishes to those that I have yet to meet...

I ask you...what is your favorite Holiday tradition?

I look forward to hearing and sharing stories of the heart, memories of holidays past and present, as well as the dreams of what we would be inspired to do this holiday season.

My Holiday Tradition is the Christmas Pickle... starting Dec 1, I would hide a glass pickle in the house every day for my children to find.... who ever found the pickle got a surprize gift/toy... to this day I still have the pickle .... I still keep surprize gifts for anyone who comes to my home and needs to remember 1. the spirit of Christmas 2. never loose your inner child 3. Hope... Peace... Joy.. Love http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_pickle
