On Tuesday, December 4, 2012, the 1901 "Race That Changed the World" will be re-enacted on the History Channel's mini-series "Men Who Built America".

Last July, Ed LaBounty's 1913 red White speedster and my Alco Black Beast re-enacted the historic 1901 sweepstakes race between Henry Ford (Ed LaBounty) and Alexander Winton (Howard Kroplick).

During last Tuesday's premiere of the "Men Who Built America" series, Ed and I can be seen in the introduction of Henry Ford (see 17-20 second mark and 1:10-1:11 minute mark) in this video.

The history of this 1901 race is documented on today's post on VanderbiltCupRaces.com .

Enjoy,

Howard Kroplick

P. Killian, Thanks for asking. We just reached out to State police. They are doing seatbelt checks.
