Vines and Branches Offers Thanksgiving Recipes

Find two simple recipes to spice up your Thanksgiving dinner.

Looking to do a little something different to impress your Thanksgiving guests?

Vines and Branches, a gourmet oil and vinegar shop with locations on the South and North Forks, may have just what you are looking for.

Now available at the businesses' Westhampton Beach, Greenport and Southampton Village locations are several oils and vinegar selections that will add a little spice to your Thanksgiving dinner.

Owner Rita Winkler first pointed to her store's Pumpkin Pie Spiced White Balsamic vinegar that she said is perfect to use with an easy butternut squash recipe (see below).

Peel and dice butternut squash, toss liberally with Vines and Branches Wild Mushroom and Sage Olive Oil, add a pinch of sea salt and a little fresh cracked pepper. Roast in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes, flipping after 15 minutes until tender, golden brown and caramelized. Season with Pumpkin Pie Spiced white balsamic.

A second recommendation from Winker is the store's Garlic Olive Oil, which Winkler said can be brushed on your Thanksgiving turkey, followed by rubbing with store's Mediterranean rub for a great tasting turkey.

Aside from holiday oils and vinegars, the store also has a variety of holiday gifts, including gift baskets, and is also running a sale through Nov. 24.
