PHOTOS: Village Celebrates Holiday Season

The village of Westhampton Beach welcomed the holidays on Saturday with lighting ceremonies and a visit from Santa.

On Saturday, the Village of Westhampton Beach celebrated the start of the holiday season with a Winterfest, which was sponsored by the Westhampton Chamber of Commerce and the village held a tree and Menorah lighting as the sky grew dark.

Village Trustee Patricia DiBenedetto said all of Saturday's eventswere all well-attended and the village, thanks to the help Westhampton Boy Scout Troop 62 and Westhampton Beach Elementary School Student Council members, is now decorated for the holidays.

Also this year, DiBenedetto said the village saved nearly $3,000 by having its Department of Public Works Department decorate the village's Christmas Tree rather than hiring an outside firm.
