Halloween Happenings in Hampton Bays and Westhampton Beach

Mark your calendars with these 16 spooky halloween events.

1. Halloween Pumpkin Painting 

Paint pumkins with the kids at the Westhampton Free Library on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The event is free. 

2. Bayville Scream Park Bus Trip

Find out what's happening in Westhampton-Hampton Bayswith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The Southampton Youth Bureau is sponsoring a bus trip to the Bayville Scream Park on Oct. 12 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The park features five haunted, houses, one of which includes a haunted house with a trail from the back door through the woods.  The cost is $14.95.

3. Spooky Candy Bowl Workshop

Make a spooky candy bowl at Hampton Art Space in Hampton Bays on Oct. 13 at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $25.00

4. Family Fall Festival @ Enchanted Gardens in Speonk

Enchanted Gardens in Speonk is holding a fall festival on Oct. 14, starting at 11 a.m. The event will feature a petting zoo, bounce houses and pumpkin picking. The cost is $5. 

5. Enchanted Forest Trail

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is hosting its annual Enchanted Forest Trail on Oct. 20 and Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is geared for children ages 2 to 7 and includes a guided tour of whimsical, fun, and educational characters on the forest trails as well as games and activities. Reservations are required and the cost is $7.00 per person.

6. Jack-O-Lantern Mug Workshop

Hampton Art Space is hosting a Jack-O-Lantern Mug Workshop on Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. The cost is $20.

7. Annual Spooky Walk

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is holding a spooky walk for children 7 and older on Oct. 26 and Oct. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are required and teh cost is $10 per person.

8. The Haunted Path

The Southampton Youth Bureau is sponsoring a Haunted Path at 1730A Majors Patch in Southampton on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. The cost is $5.

9. Baiting Holloween

The Baiting Hollow Scout Camp in Baiting Hollow is hosting a Halloween festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20, 21 and 27. From 8 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 20 and 27, the camp will be open for a Haunted Trail that winds through the woods. The cost is $14. 

10. Ghosts of Long Island with Kerriann Flanagan Brosky

Karriann Flanagan Brosky will be at the Quogue Library on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. to talk about the ghosts of Long Island. The event is free. 

11. Family Pumpkin Carving

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is holding a family pumpkin carving event on Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. Reservations are required. The cost is $5 a person.

12. Pumpkin Carving Contest

The Southampton Parks and Recreation Department is holding a Pumpkin Carving Contest on the East Quogue Village Green on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. Bring your carved pumpkin and have it judged. Awards will be given in a variety of categories.

13. Annual Westhampton Beach Halloween Parade

The Westhampton Beach Chamber of Commerce and Westhampton Beach Elementary School PTA are holding their annual Halloween costume parade on Oct. 31 at 3:30 p.m. on Main Street in Westhampton Beach. 

14. East Quogue Halloween Parade

The East Quogue PTA is hosting a Halloween parade on Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. down Main Street with activities to follow at the East Quogue Village Green.

15. Howl-o-ween Party at the Dog Park at Bideawee

Bideawee Westhampton is hosting a Halloween event for pets on Oct. 27, starting at 11 a.m. The cost is $10.

16. Area Dentist Office Offers Cash for Candy

In an effort to keep children's teeth free of cavities, Jason Parli, DDS of Beach Dental is offering $1 for every pound of Halloween candy that is donated through a program, called, Halloween Candy Buy-Back. Candy can be traded at Beach Dental on Nov. 2 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

18. Halloween Funtacular Puppetry and Costume Party with The Bay Theatre Hampton Bays

The Bay Theatre Company is hosting a Fall Funtacular at The Hampton Bays Middle School on October 25 at 4:30-5:30 for children ages 5 to 7 and from 6:30-7:30 for ages 8 to 11. Kids can wear their costumes. The cost is $15 per child.  

19. ME-owl-o-Ween

The Southampton Animal Shelter is hosting a Me-Owl-O-Ween event on Oct. 27. The event will feature face painting, costume contests for you and your dog, an agility demonstration at 2:00 p.m. and, OF COURSE, an all day ADOPT-O-WEEN.

20. Halloween Walk-About

The Mark Sinclair Foundation's annual Halloween Walk-About will be held on Sat., October 27 from 10:00 am - 1 pm on Main Street in Hampton Bays.  Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
