  • KidFEST, 158 Main Street, East Hampton (Guild Hall). "The National Marionet" Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf has enchanted audiences since its premier in 1936. Based on the original Russian Folktale, National Marionette Theatre’s version of the story features the beautiful music from Prokofiev’s orchestral score combined with stunning scenery and handcrafted marionettes. Set in turn of the century Russia, our production tells the story of how Peter, along with his animal friends, captures the wolf. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Help fight hunger and support the programs of the East Hampton Food Pantry Wednesday nights in August: Batman (1989) 8/14; Superman (1979) 8/21; and The Avengers (2012) 8/28. Movies begin at dusk. "Rip It Up: Collage Art with Pollock-Krasner House" Discover how East Hampton artists Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner expressed their feelings with bold abstract art. Then show how you feel: create a colorful abstract collage of your own by ripping, cutting & drawing!
