Junior Firefighters Deliver Cookies to Widowers, Troops

The tradition continued for the 10th year in a row.

In an effort to bring some holiday cheer to widows/widowers, a young girl who is sick with cancer and members of Gabreski's 106the rescue wing, Junior Firefighters from the Westhampton Beach Junior Fire Department baked 1,800 cookies and then hand-delivered them over the weekend.

This is the 10th year that the juniors have delivered cookies, according to the fire department, which said that this year, over 30 families received batches of cookies.

Not only did the junior members drop off the cookies, but they also carolled at each door they stopped at.
