A gray seal pup, now known as Freckles, will be released under the Ponquogue Bridge on the south east side today at 5 p.m.
Freckles was rescued in Montauk back in March, as she was stranded on the beach suffering from malnutrition and oral ulcers. She has gained 32 pounds during her rehabilitation and is ready to return to home!
Donations such as papertowels, bleach, and laundry detergent are always appreciated and can be brought to the release site.
