2012 Annual Benefit Reception: Launching The Second Decade

ERASE Racism is celebrating its second decade of work to eliminate racial inequities on Long Island at our annual benefit reception on June 12, 2012, at The Garden City Hotel from 5:30–9:00pm.

This year there will be two recipients of the Abraham Krasnoff Courage and Commitment Award.  Dr. Roscoe Brown, former Tuskegee Airman and renowned educator, will be honored for being a pioneer in racial equity.  Mrs. Joan R. Saltzman, inspiring leader and community activist, will be honored for her life-time commitment to providing equal access to housing and expanded services on Long Island.  ERASE Racism will also present our Corporate Leadership Award to North Shore-LIJ Health System for being a visionary leader for equity and excellence in healthcare.  The award will be accepted by Jennifer Mieres, M.D., Senior Vice President Office of Community and Public Health.
