A determined, misfit, 10-year-old girl is on a quest to raise money to purchase a green bicycle that has captured her imagination.  Wearing her signature Converse sneakers with purple laces and turquoise nail polish she sets out to win a Koran recitation competition.  Discovering the limitations placed on women in her culture, Wadjda is determined to continue fighting for her dreams while expressing her spirited individuality.
