The Center for Creative Retirement-Today's Program

The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.

Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.

Tuesday November 12 offers us a morning session on women in sports.  How does the progress of women in sports reflect their place and value in society now, back through the twentieth cdentury, and before?

At noon, we relive the 1960s British invasion of rock music.  Listen to, and see film clips of, the Beatles and other stars who "invaded" our shores.

Our web site is http://www.liu.edu/Riverhead/CE/CCR/About. Also visit our blog, "The Center for Creative Retirement," in the Patch.

Membership fees continue to be very reasonable.
