Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents "Boabab" - a West African story

Thursday, December 5 at 10am and 12:30pm -- 60 minutes plus Q& A -- Grades 1 - 5
In West Africa, where a drought has been persisting for many years, there stands an enormous and ancient boabab tree. One day, the actient boabab brings forth an egg and from this egg is born a little boy. The people in the village give the boy what little they have and through their kindness discover that he is the only one who can bring froth the life-giving water they need. And so begins an epic legendary quest that will ultimately change the world. Featuring African percussion, joyful singing, magical puppetry, and innovative stage effects, this performance is an amazing cultural experience.
