NATURE INSPIRES ART SHOW
From
June 9 through July 2, The Nature Conservancy will present Nature Inspires, a very special art show at the Bruckmann Library
at The Center for Conservation. The show will feature works from local
landscape artists including Bobbie Braun, Jim Gingerich, Terry Elkins and
Catherine Krusos, as well as The
Wednesday Group: Plein Air Painters of the East End.
Local
designer Silas Marder will curate the art show, which will also be the
centerpiece of The Nature Conservancy Beaches and Bays gala on June 28.
Members of The Wednesday Group have been setting up
easels at locations throughout the East End including the Conservancy’s Center
for Conservation, Mashomack Preserve on Shelter Island and the Andy Warhol Visual Arts Preserve in Montauk
to create a new body of work for the show.

sale of the paintings will benefit the island-wide work of The Nature
Conservancy. In addition to protecting the lands and waters that make Long
Island a natural paradise, the Conservancy has made restoring Long Island’s
water quality a top priority.
