HBCA: The State of Education in Hampton Bays

The State of Education in Hampton Bays

Join the Hampton Bays
Civic Association Monday, April 21st in the Southampton Town
Community Center (25 Ponquogue Avenue) at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and a
Meet-and-Greet; then, at 7:00 p.m. a look inside the state of education in
Hampton Bays.

On hand that night
will be Stephanie Forsberg, PhD, science teacher, and her students who will
describe their ongoing research projects.
These research expeditions, directed by Dr. Forsberg, have taken the
students into such exotic fields as ophthalmology, and red meat allergies from
the Lone Star tick.  This night you will
discover what an inspired teacher teaches.

Following Dr. Forsberg’s practical demonstration of the vitality and
immediacy of education in the schools of Hampton Bays, School Superintendent,
Lars Clemensen and School Business Official, Larry Luce, will discuss the
Hampton Bays school budget and their plans for the coming year.

If a well-educated
public is the key to the future of our community, then you will want to know
what the leadership of that education has done with your past budget approval
and what they plan for the future.
