Documentary Screening: Growing Farmers

Growing Farmers, a short documentary film about the work Peconic Land Trust is doing with new farmers on Eastern Long Island, won the audience award for Best Short Film at the 2012 Hamptons International Film Festival.

The library is pleased to present this film, which will be followed by a moderated panel discussion and reception. Meet the co-producer and director, Michael Halsband, Trust President;  John v.H. Halsey; and farmers Scott Chaskey of Quail Hill Farm, and Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin of Amber Waves Farm and hear more about the Land Trust’s successful efforts to provide access to affordable farmland in support of local food.  Panel discussion will be moderated by Dawn Watson, Arts and Living Editor of the Press News Group.

Please call the library to reserve your seat.
