CHILDREN'S ART SHOW (Up to 16 years) SATURDAY, AUGUST 17, 2013 -- 2 TO 4 PM RAIN OR SHINE

The Children’s Art Show will
feature artwork in two sections: 



a)
Art Lesson Works:  works created by
children participating in the 2013 Children’s Art Lessons at the Quogue
Library, and



b)
Open Works:  artwork of the child’s
choice (open to artists up to age 16 years), which will be juried and prizes
awarded.

Registration: 



In addition to the children
participating in the Children’s Art Lessons, all children, up through age 16
who have a Quogue Library card, are invited to exhibit their artwork.

To exhibit, each work must be
marked on the back with the artist’s name, age, and telephone number and
delivered during business hours to the Quogue Library, 90 Quogue Street, on
Monday, August 12 (12 pm – 5 pm), Tuesday, August 13 (10 am – 8 pm), or
Wednesday, August 14 (10 am – 5 pm). 



Any artwork delivered after 5
pm on Wednesday, August 14 cannot be accepted.



Admission:  Free



Since 1980, prizes for the Children’s Art Lessons and
Art Show have been supported in part by the Counselman/Oxholm Fund.  Additional support comes from the Quogue
Library and the Quogue Historical Society.

Historical Society
is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to collecting,
preserving and interpreting the history of Quogue in order to foster among its
residents and the broader community a deeper understanding and appreciation of
the rich cultural and architectural heritage of the Village.

collections of photographs, historic documents, and artifacts, and promotes
historic preservation.
