Center for Creative Retirement-Today's Program

The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.

Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.

Tuesday morning, November 5, is a morning of nostalgia. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we relive the golden era of New York City baseball--the old Dodgers, Giants and Yankees of 1947 to 1957. Some will shed a tear when we memorialize the move of the city's beloved Dodgers and Giants to the West Coast.

Recover at noon with a one-hour presentation on comedy genius Mel Brooks-- film director, screenwriter, composer, lyricist, comedian, actor and producer. See scenes from his storied career and reminisce about the film, TV and Broadway shows we have seen him in.
