Center for Creative Retirement-Today's Program

The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.

Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.

Thursday morning,November 7th,  at 10 a.m. brings us to the popular book of history on how World War I began, "The Guns of August," by Barbara Tuchman.   We will discuss her views of the tragedy of the War and learn about how "the war to end all wars" was a disaster waiting to happen.

We return at noon, after a one-half hour lunch break, for a one-hour seminar on how to organize our paperwork and activities to save valuable time.  Our guest speaker, a "professional organizer,"will share her expertise with the members.

Membership fees continue to be very reasonable.
