Center for Creative Retirement: Today's Program

The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.

Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.

On Monday September 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., hear about CCR's program of Irish history and culture, accompanied by a sing-along of great Irish songs with recordings of great Irish singers like John McCormack. From noon to 1:00 p.m., folllowing lunch, national parks in America is the topic--find out how the parks got started and how they are unique among the countries of the world.
