BUG LIGHT LIBRARY CRUISE

Westhampton Free Library, Neighbor

Meet at the Seaport Museum in Greenport (voted one of America’s prettiest towns by Forbes) at 3:45pm for a 4:00 pm cruise to Long Beach Bar Lighthouse, nicknamed "Bug Light" at Orient Beach State Park. Built in 1870, Bug Light has taken hits from the Hurricane of ’38 and Hurricane Sandy, been burned down, shot, and deactivated. (The Coast Guard reactivated it in 1993) Tour the little lighthouse that could, enjoy a brief presentation and return to the Museum for refreshments. Registration is $30 for adults, $20 for children. Seats are limited.
