1LT Joseph J. Theinert 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

The Joseph J. Theinert Memorial Fund is excited to announce that on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1pm we will host our Fourth Annual 1LT Joseph J. Theinert 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the Shelter Island School Gymnasium.

When Joe made the ultimate sacrifice on June 4, 2010 while serving his country during Operation Enduring Freedom, his family created a foundation in his name as a way to ensure that he would never be forgotten. Today, the Joseph J. Theinert Memorial Fund awards five annual scholarships at northeast academic institutions including Shelter Island School, Mattituck-Cutchogue High School, and a student who has graduated from a Long Island high school and attends SUNY Albany. The foundation also underwrites programs and services that enrich the lives of United States Armed Forces service members, veterans, and their families.
