Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst, who was challenged by Linda Kabot, a former Southampton supervisor, has reclaimed her seat, garnering 58.63 percent of the vote.
Voters re-elected Throne-Holst in a vote of 7081 to 4985, according to unofficial results from the Suffolk County Board of Elections.
This is the third time Throne-Holst has faced Kabot in an election. In 2009, Throne-Holst unseated Kabot, who then waged a write-in challenge in 2011. Throne-Holst kept her seat in that race from Kabot, who lost with 3,900 votes or 36.4 percent of the total ballots cast.

Throne-Holst ran her campaign this time around on her record, stating that she has worked, during her tenure as supervisor, to keep the budget at bay while also focusing on resolving community issues, including code enforcement in the Hampton Bays area.
Kabot, meanwhile, questioned Anna Throne-Holst’s record and said she ran against Throne-holst to restore integrity and capability. She also pointed to her former record as supervisor.
