What Should I Wear To My Massage Appointment?

You may have been timid about using your spa gift certificate because you're not sure what to wear to your massage or what to expect once you get there. Read on and we'll answer your questions.

Massages are a great way to relax your muscles and clear your mind of life’s daily stresses. Many first-time clients feel anxiety because they’re unsure what to expect and oftentimes, what to wear to their appointment. No stress, I’m here to help! At E Day Spa and Salon we’ve heard it all and are happy to answer your questions. Below are some of the most common questions we hear and the answers to prepare you for your massage appointment.

What should I wear?

You don’t have to wear anything out of the ordinary, whatever is comfortable for you. Some people prefer to wear a sweatsuit to be comfortable and others come in their business suit and heels. Your massage therapist has no preference so whatever you prefer is perfectly fine.

Will I get undressed?

Upon arrival your massage therapist will talk to you about any health conditions including pregnancy and any injuries, as well as determining which type of massage would be appropriate for you. After that conversation you will be left to disrobe privately, and left with a blanket to cover yourself on the table. It’s preferred that you remove your undergarments, especially your bra, so that it won’t interfere with your massage. Of course all jewelry must be removed as well.

Will I be too greasy to do anything after my massage?

While massage oils are an important part of your experience your therapist will ensure you’re not greasy when you leave our massage therapy room. Special precautions are also taken to protect your hair from the massage oils, if you’d like to wear long hair in a ponytail or clip that’s fine too.
