While snow has been in the forecast for the Westhampton-Hampton Bays area a few times in 2013, it wasn't until Monday that flakes fell and stuck to the ground.
The snow started falling around 2 p.m. with snow expected to continue with at least 3 and a half inches of snow on the ground before Tuesday morning.
