Westhampton Beach Village: Stay Off the Roads; Numerous Downed Wires

Village Clerk Rebecca Molinaro said a utility pole fell on a car earlier on Monday.

The Village of Westhampton Beach, which has an evacuation order in place, is urging residents to stay off the village roads.

"We implore people to please stay off the roadways and stay home. They are endangering themselves and emergency service personnel at this time," said Village Clerk Rebecca Molinaro.

According to Molinaro, the village is extremely concerned about dangerous high winds and tides. Already, she said there are many downed trees and utility poles, one of which fell on a car earlier on Monday.
