Streets south of Main Street are still flooded, village says.

With flooding still rampant south of Main Street in Westhampton Beach and numerous trees and wires down, the Village of Westhampton Beach is asking residents to stay put.

According to Rebecca Molinaro, the village clerk, Village Hall is currently without power; however, the police station is still active and being inundated with well-check calls. Those wishing to reach the police's non-emergency number, can call 288-3444.

I hope Florence and Jim at WH T-Shirt store, and everyone at Dave's Bun and Burger are safe and doing as well as can be hoped. Does anyone have any news or pictures of Dune Road west of the Jessup Lane bridge? You're all in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

Marc-- The corner of sunswyck and seafield is a highpoint.. It wasn't that flooded at 11:00am today, though everything south of sunswyk was.
Aspatuck Gardens October 30, 2012 at 08:10 PM
Leslie- as of 1:00 pm, it was completely impassible at the turn adjacent to the golf course.. Really deep water there.

Hi. Does annyone have information about Beach Lane, south of Fanning Drive, and an 1/8th of a mile north of the bridge to Roger's Beach. It's low-lying and usually floods. Please stay safe. Thanks, Michele.

If anyone knows about Claude, Gina and the others at Dave's Bun and Burger, his brother (in Boston) would love to know! Thanks.
David Zarowin October 31, 2012 at 01:48 PM
Update: I spoke with them and all are well, even if consumed with keeping thew generator going so the refrigeration at Dave's B&B doesn't go down.
