2. Time-Lapse Photos of the Quogue Inn and Weathervane

Construction is continuing on two projects to rebuild historic sites in Quogue. Since the projects commenced, much work has been done as seen in photos taken over the last several months by photographer Jeff Cully.

3. Village Finally Agrees To Discuss Supermarket Proposal

After over a year of being denied an open discussion on a proposal to bring a new supermarket to Old Riverhead Road in Westhampton Beach, developer Andrew Mendelson will finally be heard.

4. Post Office to Keep Saturday Mail Delivery

Westhampton and Hampton Bays residents will get mail on Saturdays — The United States Postal Service board of governors stated Wednesday that they will delay plans to cease mail delivery on the weekend.

5. Troubled Starlet Lindsay Lohan Heads to Westhampton Beach Rehab

Elite rehab facility Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach will soon be home to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, who will head there for a 90-day stint, according to a report onTMZ.com.

6. Civic To Form Exploratory Committee for Proposed Village of Hampton Bays

The Hampton Bays Civic Association is taking the next step in delving into an idea to incorporate the hamlet of Hampton Bays as a village.

On Monday, April 15, at 7 p.m. at theSouthampton Senior Center in Hampton Bays, the civic association will hold a meeting to form an exploratory committee and sub committees with appointed committee chairs.

7. Accusations Fly at Westhampton Beach Village Board Meeting [VIDEO]

A last minute resolution to re-hire former Westhampton Beach Village Clerk Kathy McGinnis to oversee the transition when Treasurer/Clerk Rebecca Molinaro leaves to take a new position prompted fierce debate among village trustees, as well as an outcry from audience members.

8. PHOTOS: A Hundred Take to the Water for Teen's Cause

A hundred community members braved the chilly April weather on Sunday to splash into the Atlantic Ocean to help raise money for a backpack program, sponsored by a Westhampton Beach teen.

The Spring Splash, held at Rogers Beach, was sponsored by HUGS of Westhampton and created by Ariana DeMattei, a 7th grader, raised $3,000 for DeMattei's program, called Backpacks for fellow students.
