Friday's nor'easter starting dropping snowflakes at around 3 p.m.

Across the Westhampton-Hampton Bays area residents are reporting that the rain has turned over to snow, which is expected to continue through Friday night, blanketing the area with between 10 and 15 inches.

On Facebook, Patch readers said snow is falling hard in the Red Creek area of Hampton Bays, as well as near the high school. Rain continues to mix with large snowflakes in the Quogue and East Quogue area, as well as in Westhampton and Westhampton Beach.
