The site is expected to go live sometime this week.

Update: The site is now live. View it here

Previous: In an effort to improve communications with village residents, the Village of Westhampton Beach is set to launch a new website.

According to Rebecca Molinaro, village clerk, the new site, which was developed by a Canadian company, has been in the works for sometime and will be ready to go live right after Thanksgiving.

The revamped website, said Molinaro, will now allow village employees to update information quickly and efficiently.

All employees, said Molinaro, are currently being trained on the new website, which uses a WordPress platform.

"We wanted a website that our residents can use," said Molinaro, who says village research shows that residents are going to the village site to find forms and meeting agendas.

The revamped site, at a cost of $2,800, will also include an enhanced search engine and tools that make it easier for residents to contact officials.

The hope is, said Molinaro, that the site will also eventually allow residents to submit photos from around that village that will be displayed on the site.
