Report: Town, County Could Buy former Westhampton Bailey’s Motel
A public hearing has been scheduled for May 8 at 1 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall.
The Town of Southampton has scheduled a public hearing on a proposal to purchase the 32-acre former Bailey’s Motel property in Westhampton with the county for $7 million from the owners of the property, 6 Pierrepont LLC of Brooklyn, according to an article published by 27east.
27east reports that the land is proposed to be purchased with community preservation funds and that Mary Wilson, the administrator of the town's community preservation fund said that if purchased, the land would be used as open space with some passive park uses, such as trails.
The hearing will be held on May 8 at 1 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall.
