Report: 'The Hamptons Have Significant Jewish Character'

The Jewish Chronicle is reporting that the Hamptons are attracting a large number of Jewish weekend and summer residents.

The Jewish Chronicle reports that the Hamptons, from Montauk to Westhampton Beach, is fast becoming a Jewish hotspot, with Jewish institutions flourishing in an area that is best known for celebrities and the well-heeled. 

The area, the article states, has attracted "a large number of Jewish weekend and summer residents who have established thriving institutions and created an oasis of Jewish learning with a vast array of cultural diversion."

Institutions mentioned in the article, include the  in Westhampton Beach; the  in Southampton Village; the oldest synagogue on Long Island, in Sag Harbor; and Chabad of the Hamptons and the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, both located in East Hampton.
